Circle of Life

As depicted in “The Lion King,” it is the “circle of life” that moves us “through despair and hope, through faith and love.” 

Villages too can be seen as a form of life. The South Korean villages featured in this series (Busan, Bulgwang, Pangyo) highlight a rising social phenomenon: regional regeneration. Exacerbated by the population decline in South Korea, regional extinction remains a significant problem in South Korean society today.
