ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Yena Kong, a student at the University of Chicago, a strategist, and an aspiring professional people-watcher. Growing up, I’ve always been curious about people. What they do, why they do it, and the story behind both conscious & subconscious choices! I believe marketing begins with understanding the people you work with.
From luxury textiles to consumer packaged goods, I’ve worked across distinctly different brands with one question in mind: what makes people care? Through audience research, brand strategy, and visual storytelling, I turn that question into creative work that connects brands with the people they’re trying to reach.

INTRODUCING:
Mint SL
Mint SL is an interior design-focused company and the Korean partner for St. Louis (crystal lighting) and Métaphores (luxury textiles)- both part of the Hermès group. As the Media Director Intern, my task was to curate promotional material through photography and videography, craft posts for Instagram, and differentiate the two brands’ social media presence.
My work also involved collaborating with executives and clients from Korea, France, Hong Kong, and the Middle East, requiring marketing decisions that remained consistent with each luxury brand's heritage while appealing to different cultural audiences.
